Lima – Larco Museum –colonial & Modern Lima City Tour & Dinner Show

Located in a unique royal mansion built in the 18th, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The museum features the finest gold and silver collection from Ancient Peru and a famous erotic archaeological collection. In the afternoon visit the most important sites of Lima and wrap yourself in its charm and tradition. Visit the impressive historical center and go through by the Main Square, The Government Palace, City Hall, The Archbishop’s Palace and the Cathedral. You will visit the most representative Convent in Lima that displays the largest monumental group of Colonial Art found in America, here you will see and explore the architectual set of religious buildings. Finally, take a tour through the financial and residential San Isidro district and enjoy an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean from Miraflores, the most touristic district of our city. Day 4

Ballestas Island – Nazca Lines/Arequipa

Admire the marine and the ecological Peruvian wealth. Early morning departure to the pier to board comfortable water slides and sail around the Ballestas Islands. There is an important marine wildlife in the area where you will find large colonies of sea birds such as the guanay, the booby, the tendril as well as some Peruvian Penguins (Humboldt), seals (fur seals and sea lion) besides other species. Prepare your camera to take amazing pictures of the biodiversity in this area and the famous Candelabro de Paracas (Paracas Chandelier) which is part of the Nazca Lines. After this great experience transfer to the station to take your bus to Nazca. At your arrival transfer to Nazca airport to overfly the enigmatic Nazca Lines in a small aircraft and discover their mystery. In this amazing tour, you will gaze these giant figures that the ancient Peruvians left marked on the vast Nazca prairie, proof of the wisdom of our genius ancestors. Dr. Maria Reiche, German archeologist who dedicated her life to studying the lines described them as the largest astronomical calendar in the world. We will fly over these mysterious images drawn in the sand that represent several animal shapes such as a spider, a monkey, a dog, a humming bird, a condor, amongst others. Day 5

Arequipa – City Tour & Santa Catalina Convent

At your arrival assistance, and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, be captivated by the beautiful “Ciudad Blanca de Arequipa” (White City of Arequipa) name given due to the volcanic ashlars stones used in its structure. Admire the Main Square, the Cathedral, make a stop at the viewing platforms of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara to get a great photo of the city, finally visit Saint Catalina Convent built in the 16th century with its 215,000-sq. ft. of monastery cloister, nun´s cell, convents, and volcanic stone fountains surrounded by gardens and narrow alleys. Day 6

Arequipa/Colca Valley

Gaze the wonderful mountain scenery and see the majestic flight of the condor in the Colca Canyon, considered the deepest canyon in the world. Early in the morning, you will leave Arequipa via Yura along the Chachani mountain skirts, Pampa de Arrieros, Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve where you will see some vicuñas. We will continue to Vizcachani and Pampas de Toccra, home to a large variety of birds. Once in Chivay recover your energy with a delicious lunch and then enjoy the afternoon on your own. As a suggested activity, we recommend a visit to “La Calera“, (hot water Springs) known for its natural medicinal properties. (Activity not included, please ask for rates). Overnight in Colca Valley. Day 7

Colca Valley /Puno

Appreciate a beautiful Andean sunrise along the Colca Canyon towards the path that leads to Cruz del Condor (Condor´s Cross), a place offering the most spectacular landscapes of the entire canyon, here you can see the elegant flight of these huge birds whose wings extend up to 3 meters; admire its majestic flight and get an excellent view of the Colca Canyon, a unique opportunity to take great pictures. You will return to Chivay for lunch (not included) and finally take the bus to Puno. At your arrival assistance, and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Puno. Meals: Breakfast

Day 8

Puno/Uros And Taquile Islands -Titicaca Lake/Puno

Sail the waters of Lake Titicaca. Early in the morning, you will start an excursion to the highest lake in the world (12,500 falls). The tour includes a visit to Uros Island where you can go by comfortable motor boats. Uros is part of Aymara ethnic family of islands that live on artificial islands made of Totora (floating reed). From here you can reach Taquile Island, gifted with several hills and harboring archaeological sites, the island’s main activity are textiles (manual work of art) representing scenes of everyday life. You will have lunch at a nearby local place. Transfer back to Puno city. Accommodation in Puno. Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Day 9

Puno/Cusco – The Route Of The Sun

Embark on a comfortable tour bus and go through beautiful Andean landscapes up to the city of Cusco. On the way, you will see several touristic attractions such as Pukara, the first stop in route to Cuzco. In Pukara you can take a guided tour of the Museum that holds the remains of many archeological figures of Andean times. We will also go through La Raya, the highest point in the entire tour (14,223 ft.). Here you can enjoy few minutes to admire the landscape and take some amazing photos before continuing. The bus will stop for lunch at Sicuani village, where you will then continue the tour to the archeological center of Raqch’i, an enormous building made in honor of Wiracocha God, finally, you´ll arrive at Saint Peter Church of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America. Day 10

Cusco – City Tour & Archaeological Park

Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, admire the wonderful pre-Hispanic and colonial legacy of Cusco city, an interesting journey where you will learn about Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), ancient place of worship to the Sun, God of the Incas where the convent of Santo Domingo was built, gaze the beauty of Cusco city´s Main Square and admire the most representative sculptures and paintings of Cusco´s Art inside the cathedral. Touring the city suburbs, we will visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its external walls built with huge stones cut and assembled with stunning precision. Day 11

Cusco/Sacred Valley Of The Incas

Visit the Sacred Valley, a picturesque tour where you can see important archaeological remains, landscapes, and village customs. This tour starts with the first stop at Awanacancha Complex, here you can have the chance to feed Andean Camelids such as llamas and alpacas; you will also meet local people who will show their techniques for weaving in their sites. The tour will include the visit of the typical Pisaq Market where you can have the chance to shop or buy handicrafts and try the traditional costumes. Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Ollantaytambo Fortress, made up by series of overlapped steps and terraces, built to protect the city from any invasion coming from the jungle through this part of the valley. You’ll have the opportunity to walk the narrow streets of the village and get a first-hand feeling of this military, religious and cultural center of the Inca Empire. Transfer to the hotel. Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu/Cusco

Live one of the most fascinating and extraordinary experiences of the world: touring Machu Picchu. The adventure begins by embarking on one of the most beautiful railway routes, go through picturesque Andean landscapes and enjoy the amazing lush jungle until you arrive at the Aguas Calientes town; here you´ll take the bus for a 30-minute drive along a zigzagging path leading to the marvelous citadel. Machu Picchu may have been home to Pachacutec, first Inca emperor and is now one of the New 7 Wonders of the modern world. Walk through go passageways and alleys of the citadel, witness the architectonic greatness of the Inca Empire and Enjoy this unique place in the world. Take free time to enjoy the mystical energy and natural beauty of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take your train back to Cusco. Day 14

Temples Of The Sun & The Moon - Chan Chan Archaeological Site - Huanchaco

Take an interesting tour to the most important archaeological sites in Trujillo and finish this adventure in the peaceful and traditional Huanchaco. Located in Moche, between the countryside and the desert, you will find the Temple of the Sun, built with more than 100 million adobe bricks and currently stands at a height of 45 Mts Here we can see the Huaca de la Luna a beautiful temple divided into 6 buildings, one above the other. Then, visit Chan Chan Archaeological Complex, spread over a wide area, it was the center of the Chimu Empire, and it is the largest Pre-Columbian adobe city that has existed on the continent. Finally, gaze a wonderful view of the sea from the traditional beach of Huanchaco also known for their typical boats called Caballitos de Totora. Accommodation in Trujillo. Meals: Breakfast

Day 15

El Brujo Archaeological Complex & Cao Museum/Chiclayo.

Get surprised with the archeological wealth of Trujillo and go through extensive fields of sugar cane until arrival to El Brujo Archeological Complex. Learn about the three Huacas (temples) that make up this site: Huaca Cao Viejo, Huaca Partida and Huaca Prieta and learn about the theory behind the site’s name “El Brujo“ (The Warlock). Finally, visit the Cao museum named after La Señora de Cao, a female mummy just discovered in 206. Excavated in a highly-preserved state, the Lady of Cao is thought to have been an important ruler, as she was found surrounded by extravagant jewelry and weapons. Such discovery eradicated the idea of only men ruling the ancient empire. At scheduled time, the afternoon transfer to the station to take the bus to Chiclayo. At your arrival, transfer to the hotel. Túcume - Royal Tombs Of Sipan Museum & Huaca Rajada Tomb Complex

Visit Túcume, land full of invaluable history, tradition, customs, and archaeological wealth, located 35 kilometers from Chiclayo and is also known as the Valley of the Pyramids. The complex covers an area of 220 hectares and is surrounded by fertile crop fields. Túcume is a great complex where you can see 25 pyramidal Temples, and Huaca Las Estacas, Mirador, and Huaca Larga. Tour The site museum named as the complex and explains the visitors the development, life and end of the Lambayeque Culture. Then visit the spectacular Señor de Sipan Royal Tombs museum modern pyramidal building that houses true Mochica art jewels in its interior and keeps the remains of the ancient Sipan ruler. Finally, tour the spectacular Huaca Rajada complex composed by two mud brick pyramids and a terrace built by the ancient Mochicans. In 1978, the celebrated archaeological discovery of two pre-Hispanic tombs was made: El Señor de Sipan (Lord of Sipan) and his ancestor, El Viejo Señor de Sipan (Old Lord of Sipan), both very important persons that ruled the Valley“s destiny during the 2nd and 3rd centuries of our era. With these discoveries, our admiration for the well-known excellence of Mochica ceramics was enriched by the revelation that they also produced exquisite metalwork.
